Geology and I
When I was in year ten in high school, I had to decide my plan about the future. I wanted to become a missionary, so I thought about studying theology. But I changed my mind and decided to study natural science. The reason was I had a natural interest in science, and it's very important to glorify God through academic research like Kepler, Pascal and Newton.
So I decided to major in geology in year ten. Because of my country life, I can be familiar with geology and its study. Also my interests in high school are geology, astronomy and physics. My teacher of earth science often discussed with me about these issues.

Channy entered Department of Geology, Pusan Natioanl Univerisity in 1992. interested in sedimentary geology and its computer application. My major interest is fluid mechanics and sedimentary process, i.e hydrodynamics. I'm working in graduate school about environmental and urban geology related to hydrology.
Catastrophism : Revival thought in Geology
Channy's geological throught is based on catastrophism, which is no longer the dirty word that it has been for the
last century and a half. Catastrophism -the theory that the earth's crust owed its main features to sudden catastrophes is enjoying a revival in guise of Catastrophism. The catastrophism old and new have one common feature- they both claim that biological rate and state are non-uniform. In making those assumptions, they both stand in antithesis to unifomitarian systems of the earth history which stress the uniformity of rate and state. Above all, my interest to catastrophism concenturate on global contemporary catastrophic theory, which have been insisted by creation geologists. So called flood geology as minor have been discussed widely and its historical researchs are presented in Geological Research part I by D.T. Gish, ph.D in CRSQ vol 24. no. 1.Channy is also creation scienctist, There is a special relation between creation research and I from my youth. Also I'm joining as student member in Korea Association of Creation Research and Creation Research Society, U.S.
Channy and World-wide Web
Channy is a boy loving world-wide web. I have used Internet since 1993, taking an oppotunity of e-mailing to Wolfram Research Insititute studying Mathematica. Then the www-forum mailing list of Korea was born and I read mails via usenet, han.comp.www. I could get many informations releted to WWW from that, participated in the first WWW Workshop held by www-forum core members in Taejon, Mar. 1995. The WWW-KR was first organic activities on WWW in Korea. Channy have joined the WWW-KR(called "web korea"), the most active organization of cyberspace and real party of web users & developers in Korea. Acitivites of WWW-KR is exellent.
